SOTTO OSSERVAZIONE

Dalle profondità del mare nel quale vivono, attraverso misteriosi periscopi, i pesci ci guardano. Le vasche nel chiostro dell’Ex-Materinità sono lenti che creano collegamenti tra due mondi. Le creature acquatiche e quelle terrestri si guardano occhi negli occhi. Particolari ingigantiti di un vecchio stampo per tipografia e macro fotografie di occhi di pesci multicolore vengono combinati per diventare un’unica immagine. La rappresentazione stilizzata e artificiale dell’incisione si fonde con le stupefacenti sfumature naturali della vita sottomarina.

UNDER OBSERVATION

From the deepness in which they live, through mysterious periscopes, fishes are observing us. The ponds in the Ex-Materinità cloister are like lens connecting two worlds. aquatic and terrestrial creatures look at themselves through their eyes. Magnified details of an ancient typographic die and photomacrographies of eyes of multicoloured fishes are combined to become a single image. The artificial and stylized representation of the litography merges with the amazing natural shades of the submarine life.
